Referral Program Terms
The Loop grows the way homeschooling always has: one family telling another. If you know someone who would love it, send her your referral link. When she subscribes, you both get something, and these are the details.
The short version
- One referral, one free month. Every friend who subscribes from your link and pays her first bill earns you a month.
- Ten referrals, three years. When your tenth friend's first payment clears, your reward becomes thirty-six months in total.
- Your friend gets a 30-day free trial instead of the usual 14.
- Rewards are credits toward your Loop subscription, never cash.
Who can refer
Anyone with a Loop of School account, including one on a free trial. Free months you earn are applied to your bills once you are subscribed.
What counts as a successful referral
A referral is successful when all of these are true:
- Your friend created a new account within 60 days of following your referral link. The link is how referrals are tracked, and we can't guarantee credit for a signup that didn't use it. If she followed more than one friend's link, the most recent one counts. One household, one account: the referred household must not have had a Loop of School account before, and must use a different email address and payment method than yours.
- Her first paid charge, after any free period, clears.
That is it. Your credit lands the day her first charge clears, and we email you to say so.
If her first charge is later refunded or reversed, we may remove the credit, and the ten-referral bonus if that referral was part of it, to the extent not yet used.
Your reward
One referral, one month. Each successful referral earns one month of credit, applied to your next bill. On a yearly plan, each credit moves your renewal date out by one month instead. There is no limit, and you can use the months as you earn them.
Ten referrals, three years. When your tenth successful referral lands, your total reward for those ten becomes thirty-six months. You have already received ten of them, one per referral, so we add the remaining twenty-six at that moment, regardless of how many you have used. Referrals after the tenth earn one month each.
Your friend's reward
A 30-day free trial instead of the usual 14. No card is needed to start it, and nothing is charged when it ends; she subscribes if and when she wants to.
Rules about credits
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to anyone else.
- Credits do not expire while you have a subscription. If your subscription ends, unused credits are kept for 12 months in case you come back, and then expire.
- If your account is closed for breaking our Terms, credits are forfeited.
Rules about referring
- Share your link with people you know, anywhere you like. Do not send it as unsolicited or bulk email or messages, post it where that is prohibited, or pay anyone to click it.
- Do not refer yourself, members of your own household, or accounts you control.
- Whenever you share your link, say that you get a free month when people sign up with it. For example: "I get a free month of Loop of School if you sign up with my link." The Federal Trade Commission requires this, and so do we; we may remind you, and we may pause a link that is being shared without it.
- Be honest. Say what you actually think of the Loop. We never ask for, and never reward, a positive review or a particular opinion.
The program itself
We may change or end the program at any time, with notice on this page. Credits you have already earned will be honored. We may withhold or reverse credits that we reasonably believe were earned through fraud, self-referral, or a breach of these rules, and we will tell you if we do.
