Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
Cancelling
Cancel any time in Settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again.
Refunds
Yearly plans. Within 30 days of a yearly charge, whether it is your first payment or a renewal, you can refund it in full yourself in Settings, once in any twelve-month period. A refund ends your subscription right away; your family record is kept as described in the Privacy Policy, and you can still export it. After 30 days, yearly charges are not refunded, but you keep access through the end of the year.
Monthly plans. Monthly charges are not refunded. Cancel before your renewal date and you will not be charged for the next month.
Mistakes. If we charged you twice, charged you after you cancelled, or charged you the wrong amount, we refund the error in full, no matter when you tell us.
Price increases. If we raise your price and you cancel within 14 days after the first charge at the new price, we refund the unused part of that charge automatically when you cancel, on any plan, and your access ends with the refund. This does not count against the once-a-year limit. Where your state's law gives you more than this, you get it.
Pauses. Pausing is free and does not involve a refund. If you cancel during a pause, nothing further is charged.
How to get a refund
If your yearly charge is within the 30-day window, go to Settings → Subscription → Request refund. You will see what happens before you confirm: the refund is processed automatically, your subscription ends immediately, and the money goes back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days. If you have used this in the last twelve months, the button will tell you and show the other options that apply.
